This tutorial assumes you already have WinSCP running on your computer, and are connected to a remote server.

Now let’s learn how to upload or transfer files from our computer to a remote server.

1. Select a few files you would like to upload from your Local Drive. To select multiple files press CTRL on your keyboard.

2. Click F5 Copy. Click Copy in the pop-up window.

That’s it! We’ve successfully uploaded the selected files to the remote server, and they are now also displayed here in the remote server window.

Let’s learn how to download files. To demonstrate this, we’ll first remove a file from our local computer.

3. Let’s remove changelog.txt by selecting it and click F8 Delete and click OK in the pop-up window.

4. Now let’s Download the changelog.txt file from the Remote Server to our Local Drive by selecting it.

5. Click F5 Copy.
